I am Gian Lao, a writer based in Manila, Philippines.

 

I specialize in speeches, essays, and profiles. I was speechwriter for Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III from 2010-16. I have since moved on to a career in strategic communications, while occasionally contributing to different publications, including CNN Philippines, ANCX, Esquire Philippines, among other publications.
